Resource Review : Teachers Pay Teachers
(This is a picture of my own studio!)
So I've been looking far and wide for resources for a long time. I don't own photoshop and I just simply have a hard time coming up with activites that seem worth taking time to make, print and share. That's when I found www.teacherspayteachers.com (through Pinterest). Wow! This site is amazing and not just because it offers free downloadable PDF worksheets for nearly every subject. TPT is a website designed to encourage, support and unite teachers throughout North America.
What's I absolutely love about this website is that you can find many beautiful, helpful FREE resources, worksheets and even lesson plan previews. I think that makes this site note only really accessible, because all you need is a printer, but it also promotes a sense of community around sharing skills, talent and experience in worksheet making. I have used worksheets that were both free and ones that I have purchased. So far, I haven't purchased anything over $10 for a single download.
What I really enjoy about the purchased downloads that I've made is that they have been very comprehensive. I've purchased mainly from Sara Bibee who's pages I adore. I really like that she has seasonal packages and I find her worksheets really engaging. I'm using her Spring Music Package right now during my March Break Camp and my students are loving it! Some educators who's free downloads I've used include Musical Magic (music teacher tool box) and MusicTeacherResources
I think it's amazing that teachers can use this market place to both make money and financially contribute to their peers. It also gives educators an outlet for resources they've collected and may no longer use. I'm so for this website !!!
